My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Can a "panther" be a loving pet? Yes, it can, when it's "TYRESE"! This gorgeous and sweet, gentle boy was just recently rescued from the streets. While trying to trap a feral cat, some friends got Tyrese instead. At the vets office they fell in love with him . . . as you can see he is lying on the vet techs lap. We don't know much (yet) about how he does with cats, dogs or children, but we don't see any signs of upset with the other cats at our sanctuary. And even when handling him he is so calm and gentle, we doubt that there would be problems with older, gentle children.

Tyrese has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas. He also tested negative/negative for Feline Leukemia (Felv) and FIV. He is truly a picture of a cat who is in prime physical condition. He will be microchipped before adoption.

We also offer the option of "foster to adopt". Meaning you can foster Tyrese for a month and then decide whether or not he will be a right fit with your family or home life.

If you are wondering why his left ear has been tipped: Because he was brought to the vet in a trap, they just assumed he was a feral cat. (Ear tipping is a common procedure with feral cats when they are released back outside. This informs rescuers or residents that the cat was already spayed/neutered, etc.). But of course, after his surgery, the vet techs soon realized that Tyrese was NOT feral and actually a sweet big hunk of love!

One last cute story regarding Tyrese and that is why we named him this: Being a fan of the TV show the Walking Dead, we have named a number of our cats after its' characters. . . .Hershel, Darryl, Morgan, etc. We here at HHCS have been waiting to get a big, sweet, gentle black kitty in order to name him after one of our favorites on the show, Tyrese. (Who sadly was killed by zombies a few seasons ago.)

To learn more about Tyrese or to discuss visitation and adoption, please feel free to call us a 949-337-8372, or email us at healinghopecs@att.net Please note that we are a small private, home-based cat sanctuary and not open to the public with "business hours". Visitation of a specific cat is done/set up by appointment only.
