My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in HUDSON or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to shelby.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

HUDSON is such a hunky monkey! He is about 18 months old and holds the title of WORLD'S BEST CUDDLER! He sleeps in bed with his foster parents and one of their dogs every night. HUDSON knows not to potty in the house and to only chew on doggy toys. His foster family absolutely adores this silly sweet boy(how could you not). His foster mom says if they didn't already own 3 pups, she would never be able to part with her "Huddy Buddy." HUDSON enjoys playing in the yard, but is also content to lay on the couch and watch movies all day. He loves to go on car rides and new places. He would be thrilled to accompany his forever family on all sorts of adventures. He has never met a stranger and is loves kids. HUDSON has been great with every pup he's met. He hasn't met any kitties with us, but we are happy to introduce him to cats if the perfect forever home has feline family members.

HUDSON will give his lucky family a lifetime of cuddles and kisses....plus they will be able to play with his smooshy cheeks every single day. It doesn't get better than that!

HUDSON is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccine.
His $340 adoption fee includes the cost of transport to Nashville after he is officially adopted.

Please email the completed application to shelby.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
