Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog!Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor?
This handsome lad found himself homeless after his lifetime owners ended up turning him into the shelter after they moved. This little guy ended up confused as to his whereabouts but still has a huge capacity to love. We are unsure of his breed mix, as he is just an adorable little brown dog that looks like he could possibly have chihuahua and corgi in his ancestry. Freddy is on the timid side, but after you gain his trust, he wants nothing more than to be by your side. He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, and is very respectful of their space.
Freddy has stellar house manners and knows several commands. His foster family leaves him free in house when they are away and he is perfectly behaved. The only thing Freddy does not like is to be picked up. He will jump on your lap when he wants to, and he loves being petted and is very affectionate. His fear of being held would be a non-issue if Freddy was a big dog (who wants to pick up a golden retriever or a great dane?) and just because he doesn't like to be held doesn't mean he won't snuggle with you or love you with all his heart.
Freddy is housebroken, up to date on his vaccinations, and recently had dental work done to make his teeth sparkly clean. He is also microchipped and neutered. He weighs in at 20lbs. Freddy is a wonderful dog that would make a great family pet. We are recommending children 10 and over who will understand Freddy's fear of being picked up. If you are interested, we ask that you fill out an application.
