My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bert! This fella came to us from the Morrow Co Dog Shelter on 9/11/18 after he had been there since May. He was surrendered, along with several other dogs, after his people divorced. We actually rescued his mom Bonna in the summer, and once she was adopted, we went back for Bert.

Bert is fostered in Columbus. He is 8 years young. His foster family said he is a great, well-adjusted little dog. Bert has done well with the other dogs in the home. He loves a game of fetch and doesn't mine a warm lap. We are requiring a fenced in yard since he loves to run and play. We also prefer to not place Bert in a home with small children. Bert has been neutered and received a dental on 9/18/18.

Bert would be a great addition to a family. Please consider opening your home and heart to him!

MAWL's dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm-lyme-ehrlichia tested if old enough and up to date on vaccines prior to going to their new homes. We select our adopters through an application process. We require vet and personal references as well as a home visit. We prefer to adopt our pets to Ohio residents. An adoption donation of $175 helps to cover the costs involved.
