This cute little boy is Giovanni. Giovanni is a Papillion mix. He is three years old and weighs 7 pounds. Giovanni came to us when he was given to us by his previous owner. His previous owner left him with her parents and they cared for him for a while, but had some travelling coming up and they had not planned to have a dog. They loved him, but having a dog was not part of their plans so they asked us to find him a new home with someone who wants him and considers him in the plan for their life.

He is an energetic little boy who loves to be near his people. He is incredibly snuggly and loves to give kisses. If you are looking for a loving furry friend you won’t go wrong with Giovanni. Giovanni gets along well with other small dogs. We don’t think he has ever been around large dogs, but because he is so small he should not be in a home with large dogs. He bonds very quickly to his people, but can be a little anxious around new people. But once he gets to know them and they have given him some pets and love he is happy to give them kisses, too. He does fine with older children, over the age of 12, that are careful with him, but would not do well in a home with small children.

This little bundle of energy loves to play with other dogs his size. He likes to play chase and do some wrestling. He loves stuffed toys but doesn’t destroy them. He loves to set next to you or curl up on your chest or lap if he can. Giovanni likes to sleep with his people at night, too. Giovanni sees himself as a little guard dog and will stand between his favorite people and whatever he sees as a threat. He is used to a kennel, but he really wants to be with someone all day if possible. Giovanni is housetrained, but as a tiny dog he does need to get outdoors to relieve himself several times during the day.

Giovanni is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped.
