My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Posted 9/26/18. Updated 10/10/18. Louis is a super cute and fun loving about 8 year old 17lb. pup that was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. When he arrived at the shelter, he was a bundle of misery! Scared, matted to the bone, ear and eye infection, not neutered, covered in fleas and depressed. Once he received all needed veterinary and much needed grooming, Louis turned into a new dog. He is super friendly, affectionate and gets along with everything and everybody. He LOVES going for walks and he LOVES playing with squeaky toys!! He loves attention from his humans and he always is ready for an ear rub! We never expected THIS transformation but yes, turns out that Louis has a lot of spunk and he is now quite a happy guy! He is somewhat vision impaired but gets around fine with the occasional bumping into something. The foster mom reports that he is super sweet, loves his crate and loves to curl up in his cozy bed when he is not nosing around or playing. He is very lovable and affectionate. Louis had a few accidents but it was due to adjustment, he is very good at going outside in the yard to do his business. We believe that he was house trained but the older age and all the changes caused him to have some accidents. We took Louis for his veterinary check-up and we started him on medication for incontinence. Within two days we saw huge improvement and he only needs a belly band at night. He tends to tinkle when he gets excited. :) He seems to be suffering from seasonal allergies but with the proper medication (occasional Benadryl), overall improving system and high quality diet, plus weather change, we expect this to subside. For Louis we are looking for a home where he gets lots of attention, numerous squeaky TOYS to play with, and regular walks. Louis is neutered, current on vaccinations including Rabies, he tested negative for heartworm and he had a dental. He comes with 2 months of incontinence medication and eye medication. If you are interested in this cutie please fill out an adoption application on our web site inthenest.net Louis' adoption fee is $100. No small children please.
