Luna is a sweet curious pup under a year old who came to WBCR from a Texas shelter. She loves people, other dogs – even cats! Luna is a big big cuddler, she wants to be wherever her people are. She loves to be outdoors, walks and hikes. She does not seem too interested in fetching but likes to follow our older dog when she chases a ball, although she’s not exactly hardy either. She loves her chew toys. But human attention and cuddles are by far her favorite thing. Like any BC pup, Luna has quite a bit of energy and her behavior is always better after she has some exercise – she will need a good chunk of vigorous exercise daily to be at her best.
We don’t know much about Luna’s upbringing to date; it seems she probably was in a home environment but did not receive much instruction. She is just a pup and will require all the time and energy that raising and training a puppy requires! Luna is very smart and soaks up her lessons. In just a few weeks in foster care, she is learning sit, down and go to her crate. She is house trained and crate trained. However, there is more work to be done. Luna has not met a sock or shoe she doesn’t love to grab, so puppy proofing is a must! She will need continued work with the basics and beyond to help her grow into the wonderful canine companion she can be.
