Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Monterey. She is an 8 month old, spayed female Rottweiler. Monterey is
current on vaccinations and spayed and currently weighs around 60 lbs.
She has grown up in a home with children of all ages starting at toddler size. Her owner also adopted Monterey's sibling at the same time they adopted Monterey. Now that that the two females are starting to mature, her family is thinking that two female Rotties and a large family is a little too much for them.
Monterey has been evaluated by a trainer and has found that she is submissive and willing to please. Her parents state that she loves to roll on her back for a nice belly rub and is gentle with their children. She enjoys a good game of fetch as well.
Her parents admit that Monterey is ready for an owner who is willing to work with her on obedience training, and complete her housetraining so she can make someone a wonderful inside companion. She and her sister started out as inside dogs when they were young and are now currently outside dogs at their home. We think that with little effort, Monterey can become an inside dog once again.
Monterey's parents say that she rides well in the car. They say that she is very
tolerant at bath time and allows her owners to give her a bath with no problems. They admit that she could could use a little more leash training, but she learns quickly and tries hard to please. She enjoys her walks very much. We would love to see her end up in a home were someone will have the time to work on her basic and advanced obedience training. Monterey has so much potential to be someone's awesome dog.
Monterey is currently about 8 months old and weighs about 60 lbs. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. She is a lovely purebred Rottweiler with a docked tail. Her adoption fee is $250.
