My name is Copper, I am 4.5 years old and 65 lbs. And I have some great attributes: I sit (though I may wiggle my whole body if you have a treat or leash in your hand), I lie down and I will stay (for a short amount of time), I know things like "move, get off, put that down, what are you doing?" I love to be around people, and even though I’m a big dog I will climb into your lap. I walk great on a leash (unless I see a cat I would like to chase). I have lived with a cat before and we just left each other alone, but to see one wandering is a different story, I’ll definitely chase it!
If let out without a leash and I see something more interesting than you I might go to investigate. Sometimes I don't come back right away so I need a leash to go on walks. I have additional skills of counter surfing and garbage stealing. Be forewarned.
I’ve been with newborns – teenagers, I get along with everyone. When I meet new dogs it takes a while for me to warm up, but I really do want to play. I’ve always lived inside with my family We’ve gone camping, picnics and dog parks. I ride well in the car, just have to be reminded I don’t get to sit in front.
Please consider me as a new family member. I would be happiest with someone around a lot--two-or four-legged. If you like scruffy-faced furkids, I'm your guy. Please be aware that I am happiest with another dog around and/or someone who works from home. Yes, I am a wuss!
