My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Erica. I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dog after dog being led to slaughter for human consumption - until it was my turn... DoVE Project heard about me and now I am in search of my forever home!

On May 24th 2018, CARE began to rescue dogs from one of large dog meat farms in Namyangju. There were 220 of dogs, who have for so long been living in filthy cages eating rotting food, are suffering from chronic malnutrition, dehydration, and skin diseases in murderous heat. CARE decided to rescue 12 of dogs first who were in serious condition, and one of puppies from mother dog Elena is Erica. Watch the video on my profile to see where I came from, but I have to warn you, it's not for the faint of heart.

I'm a Jindo mix, approximately 6 months old. Right now, I am only 15 pounds. Full grown, I'll probably be about 35 - 45 lbs. I have had a really rough start to life, but luckily now I am safe and sound. We Jindos are known for our intelligence, loyalty and gentle nature. We make great house dogs but also enjoy romps in nature. I would love going to dog parks with you, on hikes, and on trips to the beach! I just want to be your best friend.

I'm up to date with my shots and love playing with my puppy friends. Even though I was born in horrific conditions, I hold no grudges. I'm ready to jump into your arms and heart with unconditional love. My tail is always wagging and my heart is open to the kindness of strangers. I can't wait to feel safe and loved with my forever family. I'm healthy, happy, and loving pup. I hope I can meet you very soon!
