Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mia is one of the absolute sweetest, most cuddly love bugs around. She is a one-year-old, 28 pound Terrier and American Pit Bull mix. This sweetheart has a lovely caramel coat, four white paws, and the perkiest ears, one of which often flops down in the cutest way!
Mia is very respectful and hardly pulls on the leash. She is responsive on and off the leash and will come when you call. Mia is extremely treat and praise motivated, so house training her will be easy. She would benefit from basic obedience training to learn commands and bond with her owner. Mia is slightly hesitant of cars but relaxes after someone spends 5 minutes with her in the backseat.
Mia is a little shy at first, but after she checks you out she’ll be laying on your feet ready for a belly rub! Once she gets comfortable, Mia will show her happy-go-lucky personality even more. She would love to sit in your lap and cuddle all day, but is content to explore on her own, as well. Mia absolutely adores stuffed toys and will carry one in her mouth everywhere she goes if you let her. She shows some interest in cats but doesn’t bark or get very excited by them.
All dogs in the adoption program are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter. Adoption fee is $50-$150.
