Matt really does love humans, but just not at a point where he wants a lot of physical contact with them. Unless you have food, then maybe he'll let you pet him a bit or stroke him with the long handled brush. He's really starting to like the brush and will even snuggle next to people he knows well and trusts. Watch the video of him being brushed and petted!
He would do great with another laid-back cat in a home where someone is willing to just let him be. He loves to play with the mouse cat teaser toy and will interact with people in that way. Matt gets along well with other nice cats (especially his girlfriend Daphne). This kitty qualifies for Long Term Foster.
