My name is Smoosh and they say I’m a golden retriever/chow mix
I was born in the antelope valley desert as one of eight puppies. We lived a really hard life with other big dogs and very little food or water. As puppies our mother did her best to feed us but we were always hungry and sometimes they would fight for food. Some of us puppies got attacked by the older dogs. Three of us were hurt pretty bad. Some of our brothers and sisters didn’t make it. There were always more puppies being born so the nice ladies said they will help so no more are born.
I was really lucky ‘cause no one hurt me. I think they couldn’t get a good hold of me ‘cause my fur is so thick. Ha Ha! They named me Smoosh ‘cause I am so fluffy and cuddly the lady said I am just so smooshy! She says I feel like she’s like hugging a big fluffy teddy bear. I love being cuddled so I just dig my face in her neck and just melt. I really like to play but I also like to be quiet and relax more. They say I am more “low key” than the rest of the puppies (what ever that means). I can hold my own with any of the other pups and will grow up to be a stocky hefty dog but probably not tall. And I love to love and cuddle. Someone needs take me for walks and play with me. I also need regular grooming and brushing. Don’t let anyone shave my fur unless it’s a doctor. It can do damage to my fur and it may not grow back the way it should to protect me from the hot and the cold.
