My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jade is a wonderful little girl who we think is a Pointer mix but unfortunately, a very bad person cut her ears of with scissors probably to make her look more like a bully breed. Now, that is all in her past and she is loving life now! She has no issues with anyone touching her ears and she LOVES attention. She is an amazing girl! We think that is about 4 years old and weighs 46lbs, a great medium size. She is great with new people though can sometimes be leary of men but retreating but she's working on that everyday and is not at all aggressive toward them, she just needs an extra treat :) She can be a couch potato after getting exercize and would LOVE a home with another playful dog. She did a 5k this summer with her foster mom and is very eager to please her people!!

She has had basic training and knows: Sit, Sit Pretty, Leave it, Waiting for permission to eat food and does great during bath time. She loves affection, being brushed, bully hooves, peanut butter treats and is wonderful in her crate when she needs to be. She is housetrained. She isn't a fan of the car always but her recent trip the pet store, she was good.

She would do best in a home where she has humans home more often than not and would love a play mate dog, though it's not required she would be happiest.
She can be anxious in new surroundings (whining) so having a confident onwer is best because she is great for her current foster in all settings. She is so loving despite the cruelty of her past. She listens very well when playing, so if it is time to calm down she can be called out of play easily. Jade has not chewed on anything in the house during her stay so far and is not destructive. We are currently working on “sit pretty”, and leash work. She LOVES to learn new things or just perform what she already knows. She was also trained off leash in her previous foster with the other dogs to guide her. We don't have a small kid history with her so older kids will probably be more her speed.

We are looking for a home for her where she can be included a lot and she can be stimulated a lot, such as running and playing with another dog, playing ball, etc. She will be happy to also chill when the weather doesn't permit that and is just a wonderful companion and so beautiful, come meet her anytime!

Jade is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative and has a health certificate.
