Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Holly is currently being fostered in Fort Atkinson, WI
Holly was surrendered with her mom Hope by their owner. The shelter was full, and unfortunately “owner surrendered” dogs are often the first on the euthanasia list to make space. A shelter volunteer realized that the girls were at risk and took them home. She then reached out to Lola’s Lucky Day for help. Holly is a young dog and loves to play. She also loves to snuggle. She relies on her mom a lot for comfort but has made a lot of new friends in her foster home. It is probably best that they are not adopted together…but it would be lovely if they got to see each other from time to time (obviously their foster mom in Texas likes Happy Disney endings). Holly walks great on a leash and comes when called. She was fostered with cats for a month and ignores them. Holly is crate trained and quickly learned to use the dog door in her foster home. Holly's mom strongly resembles a Dachshund mix....and their coloring is similar...but Holly is already taller than her mom. We believe that she will remain a small dog. Holly would love to relocate to Wisconsin on November 18th! Is she the sweet girl you have been waiting for?
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but Illinois adoptions will be considered. will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
