Groucho and Cali are siblings and they have been together since birth. When surrendered to the shelter Grouch took it a lot harder than his happy go lucky sister. He was heartbroken and betrayed and wouldn't look us in the eye. We gave him his space assuming he was not a people loving cat but boy were we wrong.
Although Groucho takes more time to come around than his sister he is a major lover seeking attention and affection. He talks, he chirps, he nudges, and he loves nothing more then sitting on your lap getting all the pets. He also enjoys snuggling with Cali for cat naps (pun intended). He is a stunning tuxedo with jade green eyes and the cutest mustache you have ever seen!
He is more cautious than Cali but when he is scared he just likes to find his own space to retreat, hangout, and observe. He is currently in a home with children (very young, very loud children) and he is scared of them but just keeps to himself and finds a safe space to hide out and watch while Cali entertains and plays with the kids. He does seem a little intimidated by other animals until he knows they are safe to be around. I think he likes to let his sister test the waters and show him who's safe and then he comes out of his shell. He does great with people and loves to talk to you as soon as you get home asking for love.
Cali is a one of kind lapcat who genuinely adores everyone she meets and thrives on attention and affection. If you are looking for a cat that will love you to the moon and back this is your girl.
Cali and her brother Groucho were surrendered to a high kill shelter and were set to be euthanized for space until we luckily picked them up just in time. They are both around 4 years old, fixed, and vaccinated.
Cali is mostly white with gorgeous golden flecked eyes, calico spots, and petite paws. She will follow you around, talk to you, hang out in your lap, and just bask in your presence making you feel like you are the most special person on this planet...because to her, you are. Oh and she really loves hugs, like she will jump up to you if you call her to get her hugs in. She has loved literally everyone she has met (animal and human) and she is excellent with children!
Cali and Groucho have been in foster care for too long and deserve a loving home of their own where they will be forever loved and adored.
