My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam was adopted from our rescue in December of 2017. He was brought back because he was being manhandled by their kids and he grew to growl at them in order to keep them away. He is a sweet little guy that should probably not go to a home with kids because of his past experience with them. He could go to a home with kids over 14 that know how to treat their best four legged friend. He went for a week to behavior camp he did real well and we found out that the previous owners must have put him in his crate and done mean things to him. He will run into his crate but will growl when anyone comes close. He has not hurt anyone. We had to walk away and then he would come out of his crate otherwise he would stay in there for a couple days. That is the only time he will growl at us, so if he is not in a crate he is fine, after he growls he is sorry and will crawl onto your lap. When you show him your hand he walks up and puts his head under it. He is a special needs and will need to be given some time to trust a new person. He has been very good at his foster home and likes his foster sister to play with him. He would fit in with a couple or a family with no young kids and small dogs no large pets or no pets at all. To meet him contact Lauri at 586-855-6119 to make sure he is still available. We are looking for a foster to get him into a home with less dogs to make him more comfortable. $50 adoption fee.
