My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gracie... a little 9-year-old, 12-lb. cream-color Poodle who's looking for her forever home.
Gracie is a very sweet little girl... she gets along with everybody, including other dogs, but we know that she would love a home where she would be the 'one-and-only'... a home where she wouldn't have to share the love and the lap of her new guardian. Prior to coming to Rescue, Gracie was with an elderly female who had health issues and was no longer able to care for her. We think she'd love to have a new 'mom' who will shower her with all the TLC that she deserves.

Gracie is well housetrained, and will run outside willingly to 'potty'. Being a small dog, she does need to be let out on a schedule, a few times a day. Gracie will sleep in her crate (if she has to), but we know she'd much rather share 'the big bed' with her special person.

Gracie's a happy little girl who will enjoy going for daily walks. She does not offer to get up on the furniture, and will gladly snooze in her doggie bed.

Gracie is in very good health and is spayed, microchipped, current on her Rabies, Bordetella and DHP/Parvo vaccines. She tested negative for Heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention. W also had comprehensive bloodwork done for Gracie, and she tested within normal ranges for everything. Gracie also had a dental cleaning.

Gracie’s adoption fee is $250.00.

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!

If you are interested in Gracie, and think she may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our on-line application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
