My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It breaks my heart to put my baby Waylon up for adoption but I know that is what fostering is all about. If I did not have so many dogs he would be a keeper. I love this little boy a lot. As you can tell by these photos he is 100% Mama's boy and wants to be babied, be the baby, and be the little Prince of the castle. Waylon is 9 years old and 5 lb. He is pure joy and love most of the time. He loves people and attention but he can certainly throw around that chi tude to other dogs when it comes to a treat, or his wet food, or if a dog is crouching on his special spot next to Mama. He shares the bed and his space but at the same time he does have a tendency to get a bit jealous of you are paying too much attention to another dog and not him and he will growl and push his way to the front of the line. He does best with other adult dogs and senior dogs. He tolerates the puppies but is not overly enthusiastic about them ;). Waylon hardly never barks, he loves his heated bed he is potty and leash trained. Waylon is always cold and has 52 sweaters and a heated bed. His heated dog bed is his special spot so this is a must and can be sent with him. Waylon loves to sleep with his person , this is another must ...coming from me because I have spoiled this dog to the point of no return....sorry not sorry :)
Waylon eats small dry dog kibble but I do give him a little wet food twice a day because he is a picker. He nibbles here and there on food and never just eats a bunch at once so twice a day is really not enough for him. That is why he gets the wet food so he stays at a good weight. When I got Waylon he only weighed just under 4 lb and was very underweight. He was so weak, tired and scared. Now he has been properly doted on and thinks he is just the bee's knees, and he is correct, he is indeed, in my eyes, the bee's knees. I will be so sad to see him go but he deserves more attention and love and one on one time with his special humans. Waylon had a dental but has a fistula. The doctor tried to close it but with no luck, not enough extra gum tissue because he is so tiny. This hole causing him to sneeze, sometimes cough or snort if food or water gets in it. This is actually pretty common in small dogs. Waylon also has bad hips so his back end is a bit weak and he walks like an old man and sometimes stumbles a bit but he does not appear to be in pain. If that changes due to cold weather the adopter may want to think about an anti-inflammatory in winter months. He hates the cold but will use a pee pad if he does not want to go out.
No small children or hyper large dogs. Someone that is home a lot would be great. Waylon also travels excellently and makes a wonderful copilot. He loves car rides and will seat in his doggie booster no problem. He let's you do his nails and baths, he is good at the vets office, a perfect gentleman.....until a dog tries to take his chewies. Oh and Waylon LOVES SQUEEKY TOYS. obsessed. He takes all of them and brings them to his bed. Waylon can travel for the perfect home *sniffle sniffle*
