My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pixie... a little 3-year-old, 9-lb. long-haired Chihuahua mix who's looking for her forever home.

Pixie is housetrained, but being a small dog, needs to be let out on a schedule a few times a day. Pixie will sleep in her crate (if she has to), but we know she'd much rather share 'the big bed' with her special person. Gracie's a happy little girl who gets along with people and other dogs. Being so small and delicate, we feel small children aren't a good match for her, but older children should be fine.

Pixie is spayed, microchipped, current on her Rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines, and has been dewormed. She tested negative for Heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

Pixie’s adoption fee is $225.00.

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!

If you are interested in Pixie, and think she may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our on-line application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
