My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rusty. He’s a Border Collie mix, a little bigger than a full Border, maybe will be 55-60lbs once he is well fed and healthy. We think he is 10 months to a year+ old. At first we affectionately called him Rusty Roo, then Russell Crowe because he is so handsome. Now he is Russell Stover because he is just so darn sweet!

Super adorable, friendly, loves people, great with other dogs and already house trained. We think he will be ok with cats. Rusty is active and exuberant and will do best in a home with another dog and where someone is home more of the day. Will be a great hiking buddy but also a couch snuggle bug. Rides well in a car. He knows the sit command and come. He is eager to please and learn.

Rusty was rescued from euthanasia at a shelter in New Mexico and available for adoption. We are posting him as a courtesy post because he is currently being fostered with us. Inquiries can be sent to us and applications will go to the rescue we are fostering for at www.wbcrescue.org.

He is a bright and beautiful spirit with soulful eyes and a big heart. He is going to make someone VERY VERY happy. 💕
