Perdido, or affectionally known as Perdy for short!! Is a super sweet and active heinz 57.. possibly boxer mix around 2 or 3 years old who absolutely loves swimming and spending time with doggies friends and neighbors! Just look at those eyes... they are so loving and soulful.. wanting for an endearing home to call his own! Perdy has a beautiful fawn coat with black markings. Don't let his little grey muzzle fool you! Perdy is a young and fresh dog who loves the outdoors. Hikes, long walks or a trip to the pond.. whatever it is Perdy will follow you into any adventure. He craves partnership in both human and canine form!
Perdy has had quite a bit of moving around the past few years .. he was originally sent to a Connecticut shelter from Puerto Rico last year by an older woman who was dying and wanted to assure him a good life. After spending some time in the shelter, Perdy was then adopted by a well meaning family in August 2017. Life happened and the family unfortunately experienced a divorce which greatly changed the dynamic of of the household.
Currently, Perdy is living on a three hundred acre land trust but has been desperately lonely. His owner works long hours, and the children stay there less than ten days a month. Perdy spends hours alone on a tie out, as he has taken to running up the road and waiting quietly outside a neighbors home that has two dogs just to get some company. Perdy so deserves a more active and at home lifestyle with lots of love pouring all around him! The current owner has tried but feels he cannot give Perdy what he needs.
I believe Perdy would do great in a home with other dogs and a family that can really love, claim, and bond with him!
I, Nancy, am helping the owner find a home as I've logged in many hours with this sweet dog over the last year at the land trust. He does great with my dogs and stays with us whenever we are there. He just needs a pack home! We would love to take him but unfortunately our hands are full currently :(
He's neutered and up on all his vaccinations, healthy with lots of sweet happy energy! I'm praying to find him a happy, forever home-his dying owners wish as well!!!
