My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Ocho
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: About 8 years
WEIGHT: About 8 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Gets along great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Should be fine with older, mature children (10 and older)

Introducing our newest member of the CRT family – Ocho. Ocho is a sweet little man who loves to relax and be with his family. He is looking for a lifetime of love.

Ocho was saved by one of our CRT volunteers from a kill shelter. He had been adopted, but was found lost and his family refused to reclaim him. These are often the first dogs put down when the shelters get full and we are so grateful that our volunteer snapped him up. She literally saved his life. And his life was worth saving – he is a sweet heart.

Blending into his new foster family was effortless for Ocho. His foster parents say he might be the best behaved of all the family! If there is a cozy spot to be found in the house, you can bet that Ocho is there! You might not even know that he is snuggled under a blanket, until you lean up on him (the only time you hear a growl from the little guy). Being snuggled up against you or in your lap is his preference, and it could only be made better by adding a blanket.

Ocho gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home. He actually has shown little interest in the other dogs a sniff here or there, but really prefers to be on his own, or with his people. Low key, and for the most part low energy is what seems to make him most comfortable. Excitement comes for time outside exploring the yard, sunbathing, and of course mealtime!

Ocho is an easy dog to have around. Barking is limited to alerting humans, he is crate and potty trained, and gets along with just about everyone. This little guy is sweet, wants to be loved and deserves a family will love and care for him in return.

Ocho is about 8 years old. He weighs approximately 8 pounds. He has a tan medium length coat and we love his ears! Ocho is in a home with children, so we think he would do fine in a home with older, mature children (maybe 10 and older). But he is a mellow, laid back guy, and would probably prefer an adult home where he can hang out and chill. He would do great as an only dog or would fit in well with another laid back adult dog.

Ocho is being fostered in the DFW (Texas) area. If this sweet guy sounds like the right fit for your home, our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

Ocho is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family – could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $250 adoption fee required.

After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/), please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog.
