My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SIR DUKE is a 5 yr old standard that weighs about 60 lbs. DUKE loves to run; he`s like a galloping horse. A fenced yard is a must. He`s great with the foster family and excited to meet the neighbors at the fence line. He has been an `only child` his entire life but might do well with another dog as long as he gets a lot of attention.

DUKE and fosters' dog don`t play. His previous owner had a cat and said that Duke did well with it. He does run the perimeter of the yard and does chase squirrels but has never caught one. He does show a prey drive toward other small critters in the yard.

Training would be extremely beneficial for DUKE. He is fair on a leash, and is very smart, but extremely strong and could use obedience training.

DUKE loves human interaction and will come to you for attention. He wants to be petted and would be a lap dog if permitted. He doesn`t play with toys and loves running in the yard and playing in swimming in pool.

SIR DUKE is currently being fostered in Palm Beach county. To learn more about adopting him, go to http://www3.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=1941
