My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone! My name is Bo! I came to Hopalong from Butte County, where I was living until a family would adopt me. Being that the shelter needed space, Hopalong took me into their program and now I’m looking for a forever home. I need a family that has patience and willing to train me. When I’m excited I jump like a crazy hyper boy, which sometimes gets me in trouble. I need someone that can teach me that jumping and being mouthy is a not okay thing to do. My foster mommy is teaching me, but would love a home that can continue that. I’m just a playful dude that doesn’t know when to stop. My foster says we are working on politely greeting with all 4 paws on the ground! I’m probably best in a home with no young kids.

My foster mommy also says that I’m incredibly sweet and cuddly. I like to sleep under the covers, which is adorable. When hanging out in the house I play with appropriate toys, love to chew and shred. I’m super social with people and dogs. Can sometimes be a little too eager with her dogs but I respect their cues to back off/calm down. Like I said I’m an energetic cutie and would be a great running partner! I know sit, down and my name. I’m also house trained and know how to use the doggie door. I’m telling you, I’m too smart for my own good! Adopt me!!
