This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

Meet Jacob. Jacob is chocolate and white with a medium length coat. He has deep brown eyes. We love how his little tongue hangs out just a bit! Jacob has cute ears that perk up when his favorite people are around. You will love his mellow personality.
Jacob came to CRT with seven other dogs from a home that was being condemned due to health hazards. His owner reached out and asked CRT to help find new forever homes for these sweet dogs. We are happy to help. Jacob had a minor upper respiratory issue and also skin issues caused from fleas when we first got him. He was treated for both and is healed and ready to go. This sweet heart is looking for a family to love!
Jacob gets along fine with the other small dogs in his foster home. He has a moderate activity level. He will play with the younger dogs, but he plays for about 5 minutes and he is done! Then it is nap time. He gets along with the family cat, mostly ignoring it.
Jacob adores his people. He loves to hang around with them throughout the day. Jacob’s foster Mom works from home and Jacob loves to curl up in his bed right next to her computer. And when work is over, it is time to crawl up on the couch and cuddle next to Mom while they watch their favorite TV episodes! Jacob does greet visitors with a bit of apprehension and will bark when they first arrive. But within a few minutes he is feeling comfortable and safe, then he wants to be your friend! Jacob is a relatively quiet little guy. He is perfect for a work at home situation or a retired family. He loves being around you and will be your best friend for life!
Jacob is completely potty trained. He prefers to sleep with his family at night. Jacob is about 8 years old and has a long life ahead of him (remember that Chihuahuas can live to be 15 – 18 years old). He weighs about 8 pounds. We think that Jacob would be fine as an only dog or with another adult companion dogs (puppies are a little too energetic for him!). He is laid back and would love a laid back household. There are no children in his foster home, and we have noticed that he barks at younger children during his walks. Due to his quiet personality, he would do best in an all adult family or a family with older, mature children (teenagers and older).
