Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sam is a purebred Maltese male and is 1 yr. of age. He is a nice size as a family pet, weighing 8 ½ lbs. Sam has a beautiful Maltese face. His “snow” white coat is soft and fluffy. He was rescued from a breeding kennel in South Korea. From the first day of arrival, Sam was friendly and happy. He likes everyone, but most of all he wants to be close his foster family. Sam is the first rescue dog that sits on his hind legs with his paws help when he wants a treat. Check out his photo. Sam is gets along best with bigger dogs. As far as an adoptive family, Sam's preference would be as an "only dog" as he prefers being close to people. He thoroughly enjoys exploring a yard and goes to the door when he wants to go outside. Sam has a loud bark when he hears strange noises so he would not be good in a home with shared walls (apartments and condos). Sam has improved with house training as does fine when he can go outside every couple of hours. This sweet Maltese will thrive in a home with a person who has time to enjoy his companionship and continue his training.
Sam is now ready to meet his adoptive family! If you are interested in adopting Sam, please go to our website www.malteserescuecalifornia.org and submit our adoption application.
