My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Panda is a stunningly beautiful shepherd (or husky?)/heeler mix who is around 10 months old and 40lbs. She LOVES her people and trumpets when she sees us. All she wants is pets and belly rubs and her most favorite thing is to sleep with her foster mom/dad quietly, all night long. She plays great with other dogs and is very submissive to humans. She’s quite laid back and quiet. Panda is also perfectly house trained and uses the dog door. This is absolutely wonderful because Panda found herself at animal services and was completely shut down. We could tell she had very little socialization up until then. I don‘t thinks she had ever been inside a house. In fact, we let her stay outside where she was comfortable until she got used to things and she hid behind the doghouse for over a week every time someone came near. She is now a different dog. Panda is still a bit timid with strangers, but warms up quickly and loves to play. Panda loves other dogs and we really think she would do best in a home with another dog to play with and to show her the ropes. We are still getting her used to the leash and going new places, but she likes to take walks around the neighborhood. She is currently being fostered with two older kids (12 and 15) and does great. We require a house with a fenced yard, where she will be an inside dog and won’t be left by her lonesome all day during the work week. Panda has been spayed, chipped, vaccinated and is heartworm negative. One by One Pet Rescue is a Flower Mound based non profit rescue.
