My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tango!  He is a beautiful 4 year old male GSP.

Tango has had a lonely start to life.  He was owned by someone who kept him in a kennel for about 15 hours a day for the first 3.75 years of his life. Her Dad told a coworker about Tango but didn't give him a lot of information other than he was kenneled all day long and needed a new home.

The coworker went and picked him up but was not prepared for the hyper, now not in a kennel pup. He has had Tango for just over a month now.  He tried to help and did the right thing to get him out of a kennel, but unfortunately given his job, and his wife about to have a baby, its not a right fit for them or Tango - he needs someone who can give him attention and training.

We had a volunteer meet him and we got all his vetting updated (except a neuter, which we will handle whether before adoption or at the time of adoption).

Tango likes to bark on a car road, it's an excited type of bark.  He hasn't gotten out much in his first 3.75 years, so now when he gets out he's a bit over stimulated, but we can't blame him!

Tango is living with 2 dogs, a retriever and a lab.  Tango tries to mount them, we are hoping once he's neutered and settled into a routine he'll stop that behavior.

He's good with kids and regularly is with a 7 year old boy.

He does jump a bit but it's from excitement at first meeting.  He does settle down but he needs someone that can pay attention to him and give him some structure/stability, he's not getting nearly enough exercise that is needed for a young male GSP.

Tango likes to chew up his toys, but isn't destructive in the house.

There was someone who took Tango out to try and hunt him and he did amazingly.  Has a great drive and not gun shy. Probably would make a great hunter with some training.

He pulled on the leash A LOT but again he was pretty happy to be out and about.

He is house trained and will tell you when he needs to go outside.

Overall, he's a handsome nice , friendly boy.  He just needs a home to give him the attention and exercise he needs, along with some basic structure/stability and he'll blossom into an awesome furry family member!
