My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for the purrfect little brother to your friendly male cat? Crosby has that written all over him! He's like the little brother who's always saying, "whatcha' doin'? Can I play? Can I, huh?"

This handsome boy will demonstrate this with head butts, following them around like a shadow, and getting plenty of grooming when it's nap time.

Crosby is sweet, gentle, highly social, and playful - with other male cats but is very quirky with us human types. He'll allow you to pet him when another confident male is nearby... especially during dinner time... when he'll suddenly drop at your feet in complete surrender... while at other times, he may run if you get too close. He'll also climb on you or lie next to you, in bed, for pets and scratches... again, only if another male cat is on the bed.

What can I say? He's a silly, quirky boy... and, oh, SO beautiful - with a thick, lush coat! If you need to hold him for a claw trimming he's fine, just coils up like a Caterpillar. Please, won't you consider giving this handsome, shy fella a loving home with you and your other male cat(s)?

~ $100 adoption fee for Crosby. Adoption contract and home check apply ~

We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Please keep in mind that kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. They will get lonely being left alone for many hours. Having a companion will keep your cat/kitten happy, healthy and out of trouble. We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

Interested in becoming a much-needed foster?

Local rescues and shelters are being flooded with kittens right now!

PLEASE help spread awareness on the importance of SPAY/NEUTER!

Thanks!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.

2.

Interview

Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.

3.

Home Check

If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.

4.

Meet the Pet

Typically, we'd conduct the home ck prior to the meet-n-greet. That way, you can take the cat/kitten(s) home with you!

Go meet their pets

All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.

It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue

We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?

You can find more photos, videos and updates on all our rescues by visiting us on Facebook at: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). Please feel free to browse through the many photo albums. I believe in transparency and rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.

Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats.

One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there and find out how you can help!
