My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet, Pochita, a stunning, long-haired, Seal Point Siamese with round, blue eyes and a gentle disposition.

This beautiful girl was left behind when her family suddenly moved out of their house. Basically, none of the neighbors knew they were leaving and one day saw that Pochita was left behind... outside, hungry and having to fend for herself.

A kind couple began looking after her and soon, Pochita took shelter under their house.

Since there are coyotes (and other predators) that hunt their neighborhood, they decided to take action.

Pochita is spayed, UTD on Rabies and FVRCP vaccine, flea/mite treated and dewormed. We are listing her as "special needs" on account of the fact that she did test positive for FIV but is, otherwise, healthy.

You'll find her rescue story chronicled on our Facebook page: Save The Leadwell Kitties - in Photo Album #32.

Please, won't you consider opening up your heart and home for this deserving girl to have a new life where she can, once again, feel safe and loved?

1.

Submit Application

Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.

2.

Interview

Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.

If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.

Go meet their pets

All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.

It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue

We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?

You can find more photos, videos and updates on all our rescues by visiting us on Facebook at: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). Please feel free to browse through the many photo albums. I believe in transparency and rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.

Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats.

One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there and find out how you can help!
