My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Oreo is an affectionate, sweet and active dog. He does wonderful in his crate and doesn't bark much; only occasionally when he’s playing. He’s very friendly and wants to meet everyone, including other dogs (all sizes/ages) and would really love to have another dog buddy to play with. He can get excited and may jump sometimes, but he is currently working on that as well as his leash manners. Oreo also rides very well in the car. We believe he may have been on a chain his whole life so freedom is all very new to him. He’s a very smart boy and loves to play fetch and spend time with you. He LOVES taking walks and has no problem getting his paws dirty! Oreo has great recall and c omes when called. He would be a great dog for an active person/couple with kids, or other dog(s) he can play with. He’s a doofy, sweet dog and loves everyone and everything he meets . Oreo has shown no signs of resource guarding; even though he's been fostered with multiple dogs.

Oreo's foster believes his ideal home would include another dog that would enjoy playing with him. He absolutely loves being around people and going wherever you go. He would be a great hiking and camping companion for an active and outdoorsy person/couple. Oreo definitely wants to be a part of the family. His favorite toys and activities are fetch, tug rope, raw bones, walks and hiking. If you think Oreo might make a good addition to your family, please see details below for instructions on how to apply.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as completely as you can.  Also, please note that it may take 24-48 hours to get a response from our busy volunteers. Oreo's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (spay/neuter, being up to date on shots as well as flea/tick and heart worm preventative) and micro-chipping, including registration.
