Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Apollo is an approximately 2 year old pure bred Doberman Pinscher who’s fixed, UTD on shots, and microchipped. We put him into the program to help Doberman Rescue League, Inc. find him a forever home. Prior to joining the program he spent his days running around with multiple other Dobermans. Apollo is dog friendly, but requires proper introductions. He would do best in a cat free home. Apollo is a nervous shy guy who’s learning that interacting with people can be really great and new places aren’t so scary. Being that he’s still learning these things and fast movements make him uncomfortable, a home with children 13+ would be best. A Doberman experienced owner is REQUIRED.
Apollo is a sweet boy with a silly side who needs a patient understanding family willing to give him time to continue to come out of his shell. He needs a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch those long legs and enjoy playtime. Apollo does hold true to the Doberman breed in a special way. Once he loves and trusts you, he bonds hard and wants to be close to you. He is progressing in his training and his handlers are working diligently to boost his confidence. He will graduate fully obedience trained. Apollo’s handlers are preparing him for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Canine Life and Social Skills (CLASS) tests. He’s house/kennel trained.
*We feel it’s best that Apollo go into a foster home if he doesn’t get adopted from this session. If you’d like to be the back up foster home where Apollo can go while he waits for his forever family, please reach out via the contact methods listed in the post.*
