Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Shirley and aren't I just BEAUTIFUL???? That's what they tell me, anyway!!!! Here's a little bit more about me!
I was rescued from the Dominican Republic, where I was found to be poorly taken care of and hardly fed. Luckily, Canine Haven was able to rescue me and I am now ready to find my fur-ever home!!!
I am currently the only dog in my foster home, but I am super friendly and playful with other dogs when I meet them, so I would be perfectly happy living with other dogs. But I would be just as happy being the only dog in the home, too! I'm not too sure how I would react to cats, as I haven't been around them yet, but one thing I DO love is children! I live in a home with children, and I would do the absolute best if I had human siblings to live with. I'm telling you, I would really be a great family dog!
I'm very quiet, and can be a bit shy, but I do suffer from separation anxiety, so ideally I would like to have my humans home as much as possible. I also have a lot of energy, so I need as much as exercise as I can get throughout the day. I would love to live with a human who has a very active lifestyle to keep up with my energy!
I am close to achieving perfection as a fur baby, but I still need a bit of work to get there! I am partially housetrained, but eager to get my diploma in this subject! I pull when walking on leash, but with some proper guidance and a bit of patience, this can be corrected.
I am not afraid of city noises, so apartments are fine with me, as long as I get enough playtime with my humans! With the right amount of exercise, and lots of love and attention from my humans, I am super loving, sweet and affectionate, and will be a great addition to your family! Are you the human for me? I hope so!
