My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Isaac, he is an extremely sweet and cuddly young pup, who deserves to find a family who will love on him and teach him humans are usually good people. Once you gain his trust you get to see his amazing personality. He is house trained and will stand by the door when he needs to go out, off leash he listens very well. On leash he doesn't pull and has not had any issues with kids or other animals. He loves to chase balls, he has been working on crate training, and is at the point where he will go in on his own, when he first arrived he did everything he could to stay out of the crate. So progress has been made. He does have some separation anxiety, and would do best with other dogs, and/or an owner that isn't gone very often. Isaac loves going on car rides, and his foster Dad has taken him everywhere he can and will leave the truck running as he patiently waits if he cannot go in places.

When he arrived in rescue he did not like vehicles at all, was often "destructive", and had severe separation anxiety. His foster Dad has worked with close to 100 K9's and has not seen these as issues they could not overcome if worked on together. He is very young and these behaviors are typical of a younger puppy that just needs a loving owner and someone to play with. Already he is showing great improvement and is looking for a family willing to continue his training! IDEALLY We are looking for someone who is home 90% of the time who has another dog Isaac can hang out with when his humans are out.

To sum it all up: Isaac is a friendly boy who likes dogs, cats and children. He is housebroken. He rides well in a car and is working on his crate training. He doesn't like to be left alone or without a K-9 companion and will be quite destructive if left totally alone; he can also scale a fence to go look for his people so care must be taken initially when he is outside :)

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
