Soulie is an adorably handsome,almost a year old..male Rottweiler.We think he is about 10 months old. He is only about 70lbs..at the moment…sadly very skinny but is slowly gaining weight and will gain at the very least 20 lbs.He was rescued from a shelter down south and is being fostered in Santa Barbara.Today I just spent about two hours with him and his temporary foster on the local Santa Barbara (off-leash) dog friendly beach and he was amazing. He plays absolutely beautifully with every dog..male,female,large,tiny..gentle with the children and friendly with the people. He has only been with his foster for two weeks but he can only stay there for another week.Which leaves Soulie with literally nowhere to go.Although I truly want him to be adopted permanently, because of the situation..if you are interested in fostering with the idea of possibly adopting that is an option. Soulie has learned an amazing amount in the short time he has been with his foster. He is totally house trained, crate trained,and knows the basic "sit","stay" "off",and "come"commands.. As a young male Rottweiler he needs someone who has time to give him lots of exercise and playtime and is willing to be consistent in continuing with his training using positive reinforcement. I would prefer someone who has had experience with Rottweilers.Spending time with Soulie today just reinforced to me what a great dog he is and anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family.
