Xena is looking for her forever home.
She is a 3.5 year old, mixed breed, spayed and vaccinated, female. She is good with other dogs and kids, although, she is best in a home with older children due to her rambunctious nature. She has not been cat-tested. Xena loves to play ball and go for runs. She is a happy, friendly, and playful pup. She is housetrained. Xena weighs about 40lbs.
Xena’s only downfall is that she has separation anxiety (she barks and whines in her crate all day). Xena previously lived in a townhouse complex with a family who works full time and unfortunately the neighbours were complaining. Her family tried to work with her to no avail, which is why she was given up. Her previous home before them, was a single lady who was very active and Xena made a great jogging partner. She was reluctantly given up by that lady when she accepted a job that required her to travel for many months a year. Prior to that, Xena was a stray turned into a shelter where she sat unclaimed.
Xena’s ideal home would be detached and have someone home most of the time and/or another dog for companionship. She is a very good dog; she is simply in need of the right circumstance and has sadly been bounced around a lot in her short life.
Xena is currently being fostered in Hamilton, ON.
