Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Annie!
Annie is a new addition to the Adore organization. She was saved by her foster family who found her on the street and gave her a safe place to stay. Here is what her foster mom has to say about her:
"She is definitely housebroken and has pretty good manners inside. We've worked with her a little too. She loves attention and is not food aggressive; prefers attention to food as rewards. Loves a good belly rub and loves lounging on the futon. She would love more walks than we can give her. We have a cat that we keep separated from her. But they see each other and "Annie" the dog, mostly friendly whines when she sees her. She is pretty friendly. Daughter has taken her up to the boarding facility she works at a couple of times for a visit or grooming and she hasn't been a problem or aggressive. Walks on a leash eagerly. She is really, really funny, sweet and loves to learn (tricks and things). She has not been destructive but loves to chew and shred things, which we coordinate with appropriate stuff. She's about 55 lbs., and we think part German Shepherd and maybe Chow (she has black on her tongue). She doesn't like storms (if she is outside when one is brewing she wants to come in immediately) and she doesn't like other people's lawn equipment (edging and mowing). She loves playing in the sprinkler/hose. She really will make someone who want's a larger dog a great pet!"
Annie is soon to be spayed and microchipped (will be before any home visit). She is up to date on vaccines and is heartworm positive. Don't worry, she will begin her treatment soon and at no cost to any adopter! Heartworms are not contagious, email us if you have anymore questions at info@adorehouston.org
