My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fievel is a tiny (~4 pound) chihuahua who originally came from the streets of Lowell but has been spending the past few months with a loving family.  Fievel is a wonderful mix of true small dog macho traits and lovable cuddliness.  He isn’t a fan of being picked up most of the time, preferring that you treat him like you would any self-respecting big dog, so a home without kiddos would be ideal.  He has been living with big and small dogs who he gets along with well as long as they respect his spot in the cuddle pile and recognize that the toys they’ve destroyed are now forever his to cart around in his mouth.  He has also been living with a confident cat who tolerates his chasing and nipping, however, for the sake of the cats of the world, we would recommend a home without cats.  Fievel can be an active pup and has learned to paddleboard and hike off leash with his mom.  He even summited his first 4,000 foot mountain this summer!  But no need to be a full-time adventurer.  He’s just as happy having a walk each day and then sleeping by the woodstove.  As with most small dogs, his housetraining is a work in progress but he comes with some belly bands to keep your house clean!  Fievel is neutered, up to date on his vaccines and had a full dental completed over the summer.  If interested in adopting this sweet boy please submit an application to www.journeyanimalrescue.org
