My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pandora is a young and spunky girl, estimated between 1 and 1.5 years old who was saved from Manatee County Animal Shelter in Florida. She is considered a Panda shepherd, meaning she has a very unique coloring consisting of black, red and while. Upon her arrival to the rescue, she was extremely emaciated and we had concerns that she may have some medical issues going on but after a full blood work panel, everything came back ok so her weight, or lack of it, was most likely stress related.

Pandora is currently in a foster home with no other animals but she tested good with multiple dogs, males and females. A good match for her would be a young, playful and tolerant dog as she lacks some manners and will get in another dog's face to want to play. She does know how to sit but can use a lot more obedience training. She also barks at the door when you ring the door bell meaning she will make a good protector for a family. Because she still jumps on people when she gets excited, we recommend a home with older kids. Pandora is crate trained when left at home alone, but at night, she enjoys snuggles with her foster mom.. in bed. However, she does not get up on any other furniture. For a young dog, she is fairly well behaved and relaxed, all she wants to do is be close to her people and occasionally bring you a toy or two. She has a super friendly personality and will make a wonderful dog for the right family.
