MEET SCOUT!

My name is Scout and I am an approximately 1 year old handsome male hound looking for my forever, special home. I was rescued from an animal testing laboratory where I had been used in experiments. Though my past is sad, I am so grateful and happy to be a free dog! I cannot wait to meet you so you can see what a lovable, friendly dog I am.

I love hanging out with my human pack and other dogs. I can easily make friends with other canines, but I am not a fan of kitties. They just seem really fun to chase! I love going to my obedience classes. I am a smart boy and they can sometimes teach me new tricks, that is if they put a treat in front of my hound nose.

I am house-trained but I like to be let out frequently, so I can enjoy the outdoors as well. I would love to be adopted by someone who has an active lifestyle, enjoys outdoors and exercising, perhaps has another dog I can play with and a house with a fenced in backyard. I would benefit from being in a home with someone who may have a flexible schedule or can let me out in the day for a walk or hike. I am sweet, I am loving, and I am a big cuddle bear.
