My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petal is 2 years old and 16 lbs. F

Meet Petal, who was found with three pups in the streets of South Korea, and rescued by the good folks. Petal has had a challenging period of time but now safe and never to be cold or hungry again. She was shy at the time of rescue, but now has adjusted to being around people. Petal is very motherly and loving to her pups – we are looking for a family who will take care of her just as much, now that she is ready to find a family of her own.

Petal is very loving with her humans, enjoys having your individual attention and loves to cuddle and being petted. She will lift up your hand with her snout to keep petting her if you stop for even a second. She's a sweet little girl. Petal enjoys going for car rides and good on a leash. She gets along with other dogs. Not sure if she is okay with cats. She does alarm bark some. Not food aggressive. Very well mannered little girl. She will do well in a calmer home. Not recommend for busy families or families with children or with other rough/rowdy pets due to her size.

Petal is UTD on her shots and is spayed. Her adoption fee is $350.

*Petal is currently at a foster in Korea. We transport our dogs after an adopter has been secured, so unfortunately, we do not provide meet and greets. Instead, we do our best to provide as much description, pictures and videos as possible.

*** We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old. A home check is mandatory before adoption. We adopt to residents of Northern VA and Washington DC suburbs only. Applicants must be at least 24 years old. ***

If you would like to adopt her, please fill out our online application at https://sites.google.com/view/donghaepaws/. An HDP volunteer will reach out for more information after a careful review of your application. Please understand this may take few days. Thank you!

*** About us ***
Hope For Donghae Paws(HDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to bringing rescue dogs from Korea to the US and finding permanent homes for them. It is true there are many animal lovers in Korea, but still many dogs suffer and are killed for food.
Our mission is to find US homes for mixed-breed dogs whose chances of being adopted in their native Korea are very low.
