My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They call me Twig and I think that is supposed to be funny, because I'm far from a twig, don't you think? I am a big boy, but don't let that fool you, even though I look tough, I am really a big softie at heart!

I used to be really scared and skittish of ... well.... pretty much everything! But I have worked really hard, and come a long way since then! I love meeting new doggo friends, but it takes me a little time to warm up to them. Once I feel comfortable though, I love running around and playing tug with my four-legged buddies! I only ask that you have time and patience for me, because I still need work on developing my socialization, and I think outdoor confidence building and training would be good for me! I should also get continued exposure to a variety of dogs to help me along with my social skills. Like I said, I love meeting new doggie friends, but I can still sometimes get a bit overwhelmed, so please continue with my training and I'll get over my fears!

I am not dominant at all, so I would do well living with a dog who is the boss!

I also love children, they are so cute! But it's probably best if I'm only around kids who are a bit older, like 10 years old and up, because they would be able to understand what my boundaries are.

I've aced all my basic training, like Sit, Down, Off, and my recall is getting better and better each day!. Perfection, here I come!

I'll let you bathe me, and trim my nails, you can even dress me up (check out my awesome fashion choices in my pics!), and you will never have to buy a new pillow again as long as I'm around - I will be your forever pillow! Also - get this - while you're at work, I am totally happy to have free range of the house or my crate! Whatever works for you! I'm very calm while you're away, and I usually just sleep while I wait for you to come home!
