My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a mellow, calm, affectionate "insta-purr" kitty to snuggle with? Well then "Tabby" is your boy!
He was just rescued from being LOST and on the streets for over 14 months. A microchip showed he had been owned since a kitten, but sadly his first home had never reported him lost, never looked for him and could not be contacted. It is quite a miracle that he survived two winters (rain and cold!), plus the busy street and coyotes near by.

Now that he is safe and warm we are just so glad to have saved this amazing cat! He is very loving, gentle and allows us to do anything to him. Even though he is a big boy, he is very easy to handle, medicate, etc.
We know that Tabby is okay with cats (tolerant but timid) but we don't know how he is with dogs. Seeing how mellow he is, he probably would do fine with a quiet, low energy, cat friendly dog.

Since Tabby had been outside for so long we are concerned that in his new home, he would try to go outside or escape. So even though he is good with children, we do not recommend a home with numerous or small children.. . . as there are often too many chances of doors opening and pets escaping. He also cannot go to a home with a doggie door, for the above reasons.

Handsome Tabby is VERY healthy with good teeth, gums, and poopies. He has been neutered, tested for Felv and FIV, vaccinated, de-flead and microchipped.
His adoption fee is $100; $80 for seniors (65 and over).
