My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Talia. She is a young (between 1-2 years old) female who has been in rescued from a hoarding case in Georgia and has been in our foster home in St. Augustine, FL for over a month. She is in the process of learning how to trust people and experience new things outside the disgusting outdoor kennel life she has ever known. Talia is on the smaller side, around 50lbs, she is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped and will benefit from a calm home with other animals and no small children running around. She currently shares her foster home with another female German Shepherd, 2 small dogs and 2 cats.

Talia is medically cleared for adoption, but mentally still needs time to come around, so she needs an adopter with German Shepherd experience who will take the time and commitment to continue her path to becoming a companion dog. That includes following the suggestions of our trainer including being familiar and comfortable with using a pinch collar for safety and training reasons. A securely fenced yard ( 6 foot fence) is a must as she continues to look for escape routes. Talia is a sweet and beautiful dog but please, do not let her looks and uniqueness be your guiding light. She comes with much baggage and will be a project pup for someone with loads of patience, calmness, love, and treats.

If you feel you can provide what she requires, please send in an application.
Talia's adoption fee is $250.
