Meet Billie Holiday: Billie Holliday is a 50 pound tomboy female mixed German Shepherd. She's about 15 months old and perfectly medium sized.

Billie Holiday is quite active and needs a good amount of exercise or playtime.  She's currently being fostered in a household of five senior dogs whom are not active and do not want to play. She tries though and takes correction from them when they *woof* and turn her down for tug-of-war. She'll then go off and find her own form of entertainment which does include chewing on shoes and remote controls. :)

She is crate trained with a treat filled kong, but her energy level only accepts a couple of hours of confinement. She does respond to "sit", "come", and "no".  She loves being outside no matter the weather, but she is a house dog. She sleeps in the house at night - the foster's dogs sleep where they want.  There are lots of dog beds and dogs are allowed on human beds. She likes to cuddle, but sleeps spread out on her back with a legs splayed.

There are no cats or kids in the foster home,  but she has shown quiet well with kids at meetups and is patient and tolerant of loud noises and sudden movements. She has a wonderful and loving personality. She's very alert and the first to respond to strange noises outside. The softest fur we've felt in a long time and the most unabashed love freely given. She just loves life and it shows.
Billie Holiday is looking for a moderately active home, where she can get enough exercise to satisfy her need - either with her family or with another dog (or both) - she would benefit from continuous training and will fit into most home situations.
