My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Ruby, but my foster mom likes to call me Ruby Roo! I’m a fiery little terrier mix, and sorta “plus size” weighing in around 17lbs. I’m an older girl, around 6-7 years old, but I still have lots of love to give!

I’m a little shy at first, but I absolutely LOVE people. I will follow you around everywhere and I get really attached to my person. I have the cutest little wiggle butt dance to show you how much I missed you while you were gone!

I live with 2 cats in my foster home and at first I loved to chase them around, but I’ve calmed down now and just ignore them....guess I’ve gotten used to them.

I do well with other dogs, though I think I would be happiest as the only dog. The ones I live with are pretty active/crazy and there are 4 of them, big and small. I get along with them all, they’re just annoying sometimes. 

I’m housetrained! I do use a doggy door at my foster home, but I also sleep in my foster parent’s room at night and have had zero accidents.

I haven’t figured out how to jump up on the couch for bedtime, so I sleep in a crate full of blankets and I really enjoy it!

Exercise and toys are not really my thing – so a non-active family or person would be best for me. Even better if you’ll be home with me all day!

I’m great around older kids, but I think younger kids would be too much for me. 

In a nut shell, I’m just a love bug, looking for that special person or family to spend the rest of my days with. I promise you’ll never want to be without me.
