Vetting: Vaccinated (core vaccines plus Bordetella); 4dx bloodwork negative for heartworm & three tick borne diseases (Ehrlichia/Anaplasma and Lyme); Fecal (negative), dewormed; flea/tick/heartworm prevention given; microchipped, spayed and neutered. Tuxedo had a dental (Feb. 2019) but Ying will need a dental.
Temperament:
Tuxedo - Playful, cuddly, nervous & Ying - Affectionate, curious, sweet.
Activity - low energy.
Good with Children? - Unknown.
Good with dogs - Depends on the dog.
Good with cats- Unknown.
Seperation Anxiety -  Bark when left alone but this is improving as they are learning to trust and feel safe.
Resource guarding - None!
Bark/noisy - Can be quite vocal so condos and apartments would likely not be suitable.  They are improving every day though.
Housebroken - Mostly, Ying is working on it.
Shedder - not at all!
Crate trained - Tuxedo appears to be but Ying is not. They are fine to be left out of a crate.
Leash etiquette: Good, however Tuxedo can be a bit reactive to other dogs on leash.
Good in car: Good in car!

Who doesn't love a 2-for-1 deal? You know, where you get to have more of the thing you love but for a great price! A bonded pair is just like that but with the added bonus of the good feeling you get from rescuing! And who doesn't feel good about adopting over shopping? Keep in mind that we have no intention of separating this two so please only apply if you're interested in both of theses gorgeous dogs!

These beautiful creatures came to us from a Toronto shelter. They were brought to the shelter after their owner passed away and were quite sad in the shelter. We sprung them out at the first chance we got and they are doing amazing in foster care! They are truly wonderful little gremlins who want a second chance at a forever home.

These two do have some quirks. For instance, Tuxedo can be intimated from loud, noisy streets but is slowly building up confidence on his walks. They love to snuggle and so require a family that's willing give them love and affection. These two are not ornament dogs- they need  engagement with their family. They are great with people and in no way aggressive.

These two know how to love and be loved, and deserve a second chance to give their full attention. Don't fear, two dogs are often easier to care for than one as they keep each other company!

If you think these two peas in a pod are for you, please send an email to adopt@covetedcanines.org or apply online!www.covetedcanines.org
