Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charm is a very sweet, approximately seven year old chihuahua who is now a tripod.
Despite her terrible 4 years in a cage at a horrific downtown clinic, that thankfully has now been shut -down, Charm is sweet and charming and loveable – a testament to her wonderful personality.
We assume that Charm was hit by a car, and broke her leg, her owners relinquished her to the vet clinic, because they did not have the funds for surgery, - not knowing that she would be caged for years! This has been our experience with many of the dogs we saved from there.
They had surgery performed on Charm, but they put the wrong plate in her leg, and no doubt that bad plate was in her for years.
Once we saved her, and many other dogs, from this clinic, we had her seen by our orthopedic surgeon, who said that the damage was done and he could not fix the botched surgery. Too much time had passed…
We all agreed that Charm would be much more comfortable and happier without her bad leg.
He leg was removed, and she is definitely doing just fine without it.
It took Charm a few weeks to realize that she did not have to lie on one dog bed and not move in the living room – years of being confined were ingrained in her.
We are happy to say she now moves around her foster’s house, and even goes outside to lie in the sun!
She is incredibly loving and sweet and is ready and desperate for a wonderful forever home. She is fine with both cats and dogs, but could also be an only pet in a home.
A non- chaotic environment with owners who have love, time and attention for this sweet girl would be best.
Charm is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines.
WE ONLY ADOPT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS WE REQUIRE A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD.
