Joan is a 4 year old German Shepherd from Manteca with oodles of personality! She adores people and absolutely craves their attention. She LIVES to be petted and loved on. Joan has been spending some time with a trainer friend of ours and is ready to start looking for her furever home.

Joan had been a backyard dog in her previous home, and lacks life-experience. She would love to take hikes and bike rides with you and spend quality time outdoors and to get to know the world around her in a positive way. She is medium energy and would be great for a family that is home more often than not. She would be best with a GSD-experienced home.

She is house broken, crate trained, UTD on vaccines, walks well on a leash and has basic obedience training.

She does need to be an only pet- Joan has shown some reactivity (err go her stint with the trainer) but she is easily called back and refocused. She has medium prey-drive.. when a bird flew past her, she trotted toward it for about 12 steps then came back to check in with us. She lives to please her people.

Joan is just the sweetest dog and really deserves a great family to have many adventures with. We have not officially tested her with kids, but she is so in love with humans we doubt she will have an issue.
